Sade - Promise
SADE's second album "Promise" (1985), which perfected their jazzy-cool style and reached No.1 on the album charts in both the UK and the US, was released on analog vinyl in 1985 with the latest remastered sound. After the success of their debut album "Diamond Life", this second album completed their jazzy and cool world view. Produced by Robin Miller, who was leading the British music scene, and engineered by Mike Pilla, who worked with Maxwell and others. (2) "Sweetest Taboo" was cut first and became a big hit, reaching #5 in the US. This hit album reached No. 1 on the album charts in both the U.K. and the U.S. The analog version to be released this time is 180g weight vinyl. After a high-resolution digital transfer from the original analog studio tape to a stereo master mix at Abbey Road Studios, the album was cut at half speed to lacquer vinyl. The meticulous half-speed mastering process produced an extremely clean and detailed sound source, while remaining true to Sherday's intended sound.By eliminating any extra digital limiting in the mastering process, the album achieves a clearer, purer reproduction, keeping the dynamic range of the original mix intact. The album covers are also accurately reproduced in fine detail using paper and printing techniques that are faithful to the originals.
